Some projects are on hold

Large projects are planned for Emmering over the next few years.
It is already clear: many things will become more expensive, some things will have to be pushed back.
The administration is already working at its limit.
Emmering - The redesign of the main street, the renovation of the waterworks, an underpass under the railway, the expansion of childcare and numerous other projects: Emmering has big plans.
But everything can't be done at once.
"We have to discuss prioritization and a timetable," said Mayor Stefan Floerecke (CSU) in the municipal council.
You cannot postpone this.
Because in order to receive funds from urban development funding, the application must be submitted to the government of Upper Bavaria by the beginning of December.
First the duties
The head of the town hall made it clear: the mandatory tasks must come first – such as the renewal of the municipal waterworks or the expansion of childcare.
Together with the administration, Floerecke had drawn up a prioritization and a schedule.
But some members of the council disagreed.

The biggest point of contention was the redesign of the main street.
Among other things, attractive pedestrian and open spaces in front of the shops are to be created there.
There are also plans to create bicycle parking spaces and to arrange the parking spaces differently.
The administration's suggestion that the project should not start until 2027 was not well received by some council members.
Fritz Cording (FW) advocated starting with the main road earlier - namely as early as 2025. Cording could not resist a small dig at the mayor, to whom he was defeated in the 2020 election.
"I don't want to leave that to her successor," Cording said.
He requested that Main Street begin in 2025.
A lot of work
"It won't be possible to implement that," said Floerecke.
It's not just about the money.
Large projects also meant a lot of work for the administration in the town hall.
Some employees are already overloaded.
Even external support, as suggested by Cording, is not a panacea.
Herbert Groß (Greens) criticized what he saw as the mayor's despondent approach.
"We always act as if nothing would work," says Groß.
The efficiency of the administration has been debated for years.
Groß is certain: "The community can do more." He called for the conversion of the main street to be brought forward to 2023.
However, this initiative did not find a majority.
On the other hand, Fritz Cording's motion was accepted.
The conversion of the main street is to be tackled in 2025.
The timeline for the other projects (box) was accepted by the panel as proposed.
The Schedule
Some projects are scheduled to start next year, while others will have to be patient.
The conversion of Estinger Straße is to be tackled as early as 2023.
The parking lot at the town hall, the cemetery, the waterworks and the underpass under the railway in the commercial area are also to be tackled.

The expansion of childcare is planned for 2024.
A year later it is the turn of the green area at the sports park.
The people of Emmeringer will have to wait until 2028 for the Bachwörth/Amperstraße junction, the former TVE area, the old village center, the pedestrian and cycle path connection between Estingerstraße, Amperstraße and Hauptstraße, the beer garden with the banks of the Amper and the Estinger/Dachauer Straße roundabout to be renovated.
