Dr. Abdel Basset Al-Khatib, President of Al-Baath University, confirmed to SANA Youth Bulletin that the university pays all care and attention to establishing and supporting scientific events outside it, as it contributes to consolidating the educational ideas that students receive to be real on the ground, and this is commensurate with the university's mission and purpose in serving the community in the various fields of life. , including the specialization of physiotherapy with the aim of preparing physiotherapists with a high academic, scientific and practical level.

In turn, Dr. Hazem Dahman, Dean of the College of Health Sciences, indicated that the college is working to improve the level of graduates in the field of physical therapy, indicating that 120 male and female students participated in the practical session, which is the beginning of a series of practical sessions initiated by the college to include various advanced centers and facilities in this field.

For his part, Dr. Salah Ghazi, Deputy Dean of the College of Health Sciences for Scientific Affairs and the direct scientific supervisor of the session, stated that its aim is to introduce students to the role of physiotherapy in treating children’s mental and mental disorders, including cerebral palsy, polio, and autism disorders, saying: The students were briefed during the session extensively On the methods of physical therapy and psychomotor rehabilitation, in addition to a field visit to the General Authority of the Martyr Basil Al-Assad Hospital in Deir Attia to see the latest equipment available in it.

Ahmed Aqour, director of the medical village in Deir Attia, confirmed that the village seeks to build relationships with credible institutions, especially the universities “Al-Baath, Damascus and Qalamoun” in an effort to be a highly professional advisory center, especially since the village provides therapeutic and educational services to about 300 children with disabilities per month, and adopts a system The multidisciplinary approach in their treatment, and physiotherapy is one of the most important therapeutic specialties that the village adopts in treating children.

The students, Doaa Abdullah, Adabia Sheno, and Ahmed Shabat emphasized the importance of the specialized scientific session in the field of physical therapy with the children of the medical village, pointing to the need to go out to society and meet people of all ages through cooperation and partnership relations with institutions, centers and associations to increase students’ experiences, and apply the theoretical aspect. In practice, to be able to engage in work after their graduation.
