The “Love and Warmth” initiative in As-Suwayda targeted about 120 children and young people from families without a breadwinner and the neediest, to distribute winter coats to them, according to a study conducted for this purpose.
The initiative organized by the Basmat Watan Charitable Voluntary Group in Suwayda was supported, according to Rania Salha, the group's official, by civil activities in the community, and it is part of many initiatives organized by Bastam Watan during the recent period, including the opening of a Down Syndrome center and the creation of a small sewing workshop in order to provide job opportunities for women with breadwinners.
It is noteworthy that the Bassmat Watan Group was launched in 2015 on social networking sites, with the aim of helping families who have no breadwinners or who have medical conditions. Its initiatives include holding educational courses and distributing stationery, food baskets and medicines.
