A scathing attack by Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon, on the Golden Bear and Cannes Film Festival award-winning creator Nadav Lapid.
In an open letter to Lapid, the ambassador writes to the Israeli director, "Shame on you. In Indian culture, treating a guest is like God. Lapid caused a stir that reached the top of the headlines in India, when, as chairman of the judiciary committee he was on, he attacked with harsh words a film that deals with the historical tensions and bloodshed between India and Kashmir, and the Muslim-Hindu tension of the conflict. Gilon even warns that Lapid's words could lead to injury to him or to the employees of the Israeli embassy.

At the end of his speech, Gilleon apologized to the Indian latecomers of the competition.
