As early as September, part of the construction fence around the SME site in Bad Wiessee collapsed.
Now the damage is finally being repaired - under pressure from the community.
Bad Wiessee –
Only the site fence remains of the SME company's plans for a luxury hotel with an operating center on the site of the old Jodbad baths in Wiesse.
And he has become decrepit, after all, the groundbreaking ceremony was four years ago.
"A slat has always fallen off," says Maximilian Macco, head of the public order office. In September, a larger section collapsed, debris fell on the sidewalk.
A nuisance that is only now being eliminated.
As Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD) announced in the municipal council, SME has announced that it will fix the fence in a timely manner.
Elaborate procedure
In order to achieve this, the community first had to initiate a complex process.
It served to issue a security law individual case order.
With this decision, the municipality could have commissioned the repair or removal itself, at the expense of the owner.
The deadline was set for the end of November.
"It used to be impossible for legal reasons," explains Macco.
Procedural errors could render the decision void.
Feedback on the last day of the deadline
On the last day of the objection period, Macco said, SME got in touch and promised to fix the problem.
Unfortunately, all attempts to settle the matter without coercive measures remained fruitless.
Emails and phone calls went nowhere.
"There was never anyone to reach," reports Macco.
For the citizens, it always looks as if the municipality is not doing anything, Macco regrets.
"We were repeatedly informed of the condition of the fence."
Master carpenter Johann Zehetmeier (FWG) spoke up in the municipal council: SME boss Florian Kamelger had asked him to repair or demolish the fence.
So this should be over soon.
What happened to the property was not an issue.
The municipality has set its pegs: It only allows hotels or clinics, no residential construction.
