Where can new living space be created in the village at all?
There have now been two approaches to the community from several people willing to build, which have now been discussed in the council meeting.
Benediktbeuern – In one case, the advances aimed at a so-called “inclusion statute” for the grassland (outer area) between the village and Gschwendt and in the other case at the preparation of a development plan – also in the outer area.
However, the municipal council had no choice but to reject both applications because they clearly contradict the applicable building law.
In the case of both rejections, various local councilors also expressed regret, because the applicants are “old-established and young families” who are urgently waiting to finally be able to build.
Not only the third mayor, Margarete Steffens (list CSU/Benediktbeurer Mitte) thought that was a shame.
But "building law is the same for everyone and doesn't differentiate," emphasized Rudi Mühlhans (FBM).
Builders need patience
“The need is very great.
The community must therefore urgently come up with something,” demanded Hans-Otto Pielmeier (CSU/Benediktbeurer Mitte).
He, too, was in agreement with Seller, who recalled the closed meeting of the municipal council: Accordingly, in the course of the deliberations on village development, there was also a very urgent question of how and where one can "create the space for it and give the people a perspective". .
Because the development of new building rights is a complicated and time-consuming process, he asked for a little "patience" from those willing to build in the village.
Wish: not occupy the gym with refugees
The much-discussed and forthcoming village renewal was also discussed on Wednesday.
The deadline for suggestions and applications from citizens has been extended to the end of the year.
It was also about the use of the gym for the accommodation of refugees.
The community wants to avoid that.
"Visits have already taken place with the district office," Seller announced, making it clear that the community was intensively looking for better solutions.
