The Syrian feature film “Confession” won the Special Jury Prize in the first session of the Sumer International Film Festival, the session of the late director Sahib Haddad Nizar Shahid Al-Fadam.
The film, which was produced by the General Organization for Cinema, is written and directed by Basil Al-Khatib, and co-written by Majid Al-Khatib. to resist it.
As for the film's protagonists, they are Ghassan Masoud, Dima Kandalaft, Kinda Hanna, Mahmoud Nasr, Robin Issa, Wael Abu Ghazaleh, Hassan Doba, Qamar Mortada, Suzan Skaf, Rana Al-Adam, Youssef Moqbel, Fouad Wakeel, Fares Yaghi, Jamal Shuqair, Abdullah Sheikh Khamis, Mohsen Abbas, Wael Sharifa, Osima Ahmed and Ola Saeed, and the children are Rabih Jan and Rand. Abbas, Hassan Ramadan, and Jawad Al-Saeed.
The film participated in several festivals, and won the Mahfouz Abdel Rahman Award for Best Screenplay at the 35th Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries in 2019, and the Best Actress Award for Dima Kandalaft for her role in the film.
