The celebration held by the Daraa Governorate on the occasion of the Syrian Culture Days continues its effectiveness. Today, the third musical forum was held, and it was called the course of the late musician Ahmed Naji Al-Masalmeh, because of his long history in music and white hands in preserving the lyrical musical heritage of Daraa Governorate, and protecting it from extinction.

The choir of the Artists Syndicate in Daraa, led by violinist Muhammad Abu Shaheen, with the participation of senior musicians in the governorate, presented several songs from the heritage of Houran and the heritage of the Syrian governorates, as well as songs by senior Syrian singers.

Maestro Abu Shaheen stated that the late Ahmed Al-Masalmeh deserves to be celebrated by the governorate, as he is one of its most important musicians who made great efforts to protect its musical and lyrical heritage from loss.

The musician, Mohamed Abazid, confirmed that the Syndicate band, which was established about a year and a half ago, seeks to be a different imprint in the world of music through what it offers, and through its sponsorship of distinguished singing talents.

The young singer Ibrahim Al-Jamous explained that he is happy for his participation in this forum, especially since he bears the name of one of the most famous musicians in Daraa, pointing out that his participation in singing in several songs from the heritage of Daraa and by Syrian singers enhances his singing talent and makes him more confident in himself, and he seeks to develop his talent through continuous training and participation. in all events.

In the same context, writer Hussein Al-Rifai signed his collection of short stories, The Fifth Dimension, within the framework of Daraa's celebration of the Syrian Culture Days, in the Exhibition Hall of the Directorate of Culture in Daraa.

And the writer Al-Rifai indicated that his collection of stories, which is located in 100 pages of medium pieces, includes a group of short and very short stories that deal with human concern and daily suffering, and deal with social, humanitarian and patriotic issues that carry the values ​​​​of resistance and its culture, dedicated to the martyrs of the homeland who died in defense of its soil and dignity.

The writer Hussein Al-Rifai has four collections of stories: The Dream, the Storm, When the Moon Goes Down, and It Happened to the East, a collection of poetry, Peace be upon the Purple, and a novel entitled Bashan. He has another novel in progress entitled The Valley of Gold.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad al-Hourani, head of the Union of Arab Writers in Syria, stressed that the collection of short stories by writer al-Rifai comes at a time when focus should be placed on creativity to confront the war and its effects.
