Weilheim - Safely through the dark season.
The Weilheim police want to ensure that this is the case and are therefore carrying out priority checks on December 1st.
"During the dark season, the risk of accidents is significantly higher for all road users due to the limited visibility," writes the Weilheim police in a statement.
Therefore, from late Thursday afternoon, December 1st, she will be carrying out checks with a focus on "vehicle lighting".
These take place, among other things, in the inner city area.
The police are supported by volunteers from the security guard.
The aim of the campaign is to sensitize road users to the dangers of road traffic during the dark months of the year.
If necessary, they are informed of existing defects in the lighting equipment of their vehicles in order to avoid possible moments of danger or traffic accidents.
According to the motto "See and be seen!", the safety of road users is paramount.
