The Alpes-Maritimes have doubled Paris.
When the members of the Republicans will elect their president, the department of Éric Ciotti is at the top of all the LR federations, with 8,961 members.
A title without appeal since in second place, Paris has 6559, or 2402 less.
The Alpes-Maritimes, 1st federation
The first place in the Alpes-Maritimes is logical.
At all times (RPR, UMP or LR), the Nice region has been a breeding ground for right-wing activists and the candidacy of Eric Ciotti obviously encouraged him to "make the map".
This was already during the primary nomination of the presidential candidate where, in three months, members had gone from 6,480 to 10,617.

But at the time, while the Ile-de-France Valérie Pécresse was engaged in this same competition, the Paris federation had recruited even more, going from 4,109 to 12,059 members, thus winning the prize for the largest "federation" in France.
