The Directorate of Education of Rural Damascus has completed the restoration work for the schools of the Kafr Batna district in Eastern Ghouta, so that the schools of the 9th district are fully qualified.
The Director of Education, Maher Kamal Faraj, confirmed the completion of the restoration and maintenance work for all the schools of the Kafr Batna district, indicating that during the past years, in cooperation between the Ministry of Education, the Governorate of Rural Damascus and some international organizations and popular activities, 8 schools out of 9 in the district have been restored, and today, in cooperation with the Norwegian Refugee Council. The restoration of the Eastern Ghouta High School has been completed with two building blocks, pointing out that the secondary school did not stop providing its educational services during the restoration period, and the official holidays were used in addition to working outside working hours until the completion of the restoration.
And the Director of Education indicated that most of the schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education of Rural Damascus have been put into service, with 1,750 schools for all educational stages, accommodating about 850,000 students, and work will be done to restore 25 school buildings and put them into investment again.
The head of the Planning and Statistics Department in the district, Tahani Safi, pointed out that the secondary school consists of two building blocks and contains 33 classrooms, administrative, laboratory and library. Next.
It is noteworthy that since 2018, 375 schools that were out of service have been restored, in addition to carrying out maintenance work for about 760 other schools.
