Woolworth comes to Erding

Revitalization for the commercial area in Aufhausen: The department store chain Woolworth will open a branch next to Sempt Park on Thursday.

Erding/Aufhausen – Revitalization for the Aufhausen industrial park: The department store chain Woolworth is opening a branch this Thursday at Moosweg 4 near Sempt Park.

She is moving in where C&A was once based.

Woolworth presents 8,000 items for everyday needs on around 650 square meters.

The range includes decorative and household items, electronics, drugstore and gift items as well as clothing.

There are special offers for the new opening.

The company announced that Erding's Deputy Mayor Petra Bauernfeind, Christian Famira-Parcsetich from the Office for Urban Development and Julia Flötzinger-Wilson, Head of City Marketing, will also attend the opening at 9 a.m.

"We are very happy to open a department store in Erding and look forward to convincing local people of our offer," explains district manager Marén Klar.

Woolworth currently has over 540 department stores in Germany and would like to operate more than 1,000 locations in the future, according to a press release.

One is therefore constantly on the lookout for vacant retail space.

“We would like to grow and double our number of branches in Germany.

However, the search for suitable retail space at fair rents is becoming increasingly difficult,” explains Lennart Wehrmeier, the managing director responsible for expansion at Woolworth:.

"The branch in Erding is the result of our strategic partnership with ImmoScout24."

The department store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ten employees will work in Erding.

We are still looking for part-time salespeople.
