Commissioner of Police Xiao Zeyi attended the symposium of the Hong Kong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and exchanged views with members of the Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Xiao Zeyi said that "Junior Police Call" will strengthen exchanges in the mainland, so that Hong Kong teenagers have more opportunities to experience and communicate with mainland teenagers.
The symposium was delivered by Chairman Zheng Xiangling and President Shi Ronghuai of the Association of Provincial CPPCC Members in Hong Kong. Vice President Ma Haowen presided over the symposium. More than 100 members participated.
Junior Police Call adds to mainland exchange activities
Xiao Zeyi said that during President Xi Jinping's visit to Hong Kong in July, he mentioned that we should pay special attention to and care for young people.
Therefore, all sectors of society should work together to cultivate young people in Hong Kong, enhance their law-abiding awareness, and provide a broader platform for young people to have a more accurate understanding of the country and enhance their sense of national pride.
In addition to youth work, Xiao Zeyi also mentioned that the number of deception cases in Hong Kong has been increasing in recent years. In the first three quarters of this year, there were 19,444 deception cases, a year-on-year increase of 40%. Chengdu is an online scam.
He hopes that all walks of life in the community can support the police's anti-fraud work, "every one is saved, every one is saved", so as to avoid the loss of citizens and even the loss of precious lives.
He pointed out that the police cooperated with different agencies to provide assistance for the emotional distress that the victim of the scam may face.
In addition, the Police Force has launched a one-stop "anti-fraud video device" in September. Citizens can identify fraud and Internet traps by inputting suspicious phone calls or online platform information.
