"Islamic State": Terrorist militia confirms death of its leader and appoints new one

The so-called "Islamic State" has announced the death of its former leader - and appointed a successor: Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Kurashi is to head the terrorist militia in the future.

The leader of the terrorist militia "Islamic State" (IS), Abu al-Hassan al-Hashemi al-Kurashi, was killed.

A spokesman for the group said this via an audio message on the Telegram messenger service.

The group has chosen Abu al-Husein al-Huseini al-Kurashi as his successor, he added.
