"Cut her in different places until the knife broke":
The Tel Aviv district attorney's office submitted to the city's district court an indictment against Yaakov Ben Avraham (70) from Herzliya for murder under aggravated circumstances. After this, following a dispute over the division of property, he stabbed his wife.
The indictment filed by attorney Ronit Hasson indicates that the late Jacob and Yael ben Avraham were married for about 35 years and lived together with their daughter.
On several different occasions, Yael expressed her desire for a divorce and also asked Yaakov to leave the apartment.
During the relevant period, arguments and disputes broke out between the accused and the deceased regarding the division of property between them after the divorce.
A day before the murder, an argument developed between the two, during which the deceased told the defendant that she was withdrawing from the property division agreement and demanded that he leave the apartment.
Following this, on November 1, while the deceased was sitting on an armchair in the living room of their home, the accused took a knife and stabbed and cut her in different places until the knife broke, while the deceased was trying to defend herself from him.
He did not stop his actions
When the knife broke and while she was bleeding, the deceased tried to escape from the living room towards the front door of the apartment.
So the accused took another knife and followed her and continued to stab and cut her with the second knife, until she collapsed and fell in the doorway of the apartment.
At the time of the murder, the neighbor came out of the door of his apartment next to the apartment and shouted at the accused to stop his actions, but to no avail.
After the murder, the defendant washed the knives used in the murder.
As a result of the defendant's actions, the deceased's death was determined on the spot.
In the arrest request filed at the same time, Attorney Hasson stated: "The deceased was murdered in a brutal way, with the defendant stabbing and cutting her over 50 times, all while she was struggling and trying to escape and save her life.
The deceased's attempts to leave the door of the apartment and save herself were met with the determination of the person responding to her death who returned and stabbed her again and again, even after her strength failed her and she lay motionless basking in her blood.
