TV MAGAZINE. – In your new documentary, you have built a team of autistic and neurotypical children. How did you compose your legendary eleven?
Caroline DELAGE.
-
It's an expression that we use in football to describe legendary teams.
We have assembled our dream team!
It is made up of autistic and neurotypical children in equal distribution.
This experience of inclusion is quite new, and it was not winning to move forward to have autistic children play.
We didn't really know where we were going when we left.
Finally, we had a real adventure.

Was the composition of this team complicated?
It's training that we set up with the Paris Saint-Germain foundation.
This project was much less complicated than I thought.
Suggesting an activity to an autistic child is almost unexpected for some parents.
Often, their son or daughter does not have access to activities so it is a daily struggle.
When we offer these fathers and mothers football training where their little ones will have fun, we have no trouble convincing them.
A mother even cried when we told her that we would be delighted for her child to take part in this adventure.
This shows the distress and loneliness they experience on a daily basis...
“An inclusive society is doable.
And above all, it is desirable »
Caroline Delage, guest of "Buzz TV".
Why did you decide to carry out this project in consultation with the PSG foundation?
Inclusion is a word that we use without knowing what really hides behind it.
I was delighted to touch it with my finger.
It was more than a documentary!
My whole team lived this experience for six months and we all came out of it a little transformed.
We want to show that it is possible and it is once again the children who show us the way.
It is not necessarily easy every day but, when we observe them, we realize that an inclusive society is feasible.
And above all, it is desirable.
What is the main difficulty you encountered during filming?
Every week was different.
Sometimes we have seen progress.
And sometimes, we regressed… The first challenge consisted in containing everyone on the ground, and making sure that no participant ran away or threw an unmanageable crisis.
Some will want to leave, others will find it difficult to follow the instructions.
And then, the neurotypical children must not lose out.
They also had to find their account there because they are sportsmen who like football.
Initially, it was necessary to set up rituals and benchmarks so that everyone participated.
And, at one point, with my team, we got to the edge of the field and we no longer needed to intervene.
Finally, we could no longer distinguish who was autistic or not.
“The program “On the board!”
marked the presidential campaign »
Caroline Delage, guest of "Buzz TV".
You also produce the program “Au tableau!” broadcast on C8. Will this date come back?
In France, it is not on the program.
What was important for me and Mélissa Theuriau, who produces this program in France, was to come back for the last presidential election because “Au tableau!”
is a political program that participates in the exercise of democracy.
On the other hand, I am happy to see this concept adapted in ten countries!
And it continues.
At the moment, a presidential election is taking place in the Czech Republic.
The candidates are marching in turn in front of the students.
In 2023, Finland will in turn adapt this meeting.
During the last issue broadcast on March 27 on C8, this program only attracted 329,000 viewers, or 1.6% of the public. Were you disappointed with this result?
Yes, of course… The presidential election interested viewers a little less.
But I especially remember the impact because something is happening in this show.
We discover the candidates differently, whether Eric Zemmour, Fabien Roussel or Yannick Jadot.
The excerpts circulated everywhere and, despite the audience, “On the board!”
nevertheless marked the presidential campaign.

You present the newspaper in William Leymergie's magazine "William at noon", at 12:45 p.m. on C8. What motivates you to embody this appointment every day?
It's my main job and it's what I've always done.
It's C8's only newspaper and I have total freedom, whether in tone or editorial choices.
And then, I feel like family, with a great atmosphere in the editorial staff or on the set.
William and I are an old couple because it's the sixth season.
