A 78-year-old from Vaterstetten caught scammers and gave them 12,000 euros because of an alleged accident involving his daughter.
Vaterstetten – With a so-called “shock call”, fraudsters stole 12,000 euros from a man from Vaterstetten.
The Erding criminal police have now started the investigation.
The police announced on Wednesday, November 30th.
Accordingly, the 78-year-old man from Vaterstetten (Ebersberg district) was called on Tuesday, November 29, around 10 a.m. by an alleged police commissioner.
She informed him that his daughter had been involved in a fatal traffic accident that she had caused.
In order to avoid a prison sentence, a high bail would now be due.
Meeting in Munich: pensioners handed over 12,000 euros to strangers
The pensioner got the money and finally handed over the 12,000 euros to a male collector on Mathildenstrasse in Ludwigvorstadt-Isarvorstadt (Munich).
The Erding criminal police have started the investigation and warn with the following information:
Healthy distrust is not impolite!

The real police will never ask you for any fortune to conduct investigations!
