An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck southern Iran today.
Reuters quoted the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center as saying: “The tremor was at a depth of ten kilometers, 88 kilometers northwest of the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah in the Emirates,” and the residents of the Emirates felt that tremor.
An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale recently struck the city of Siraj in Kerman Province, southeastern Iran, without causing human losses or material damage.
