The Directorate of Trade and Consumer Protection in Aleppo seized the “al-Zakiya” fuel station in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, because its owner sold diesel and gasoline for other than the intended purpose, and fined him an amount of 511 million Syrian pounds.
And the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Aleppo, Ahmed Sankari, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the necessary control was organized against the violator and legal measures were taken against him, explaining that the owner of the station worked to put a tubular iron shirt connected from the mouth of the tank in the station to its floor, so that it suggests that the tank is filled with the material to be measured. Within the tanks, in order to deceive the observers during the process of measuring and sounding the two materials, gasoline and diesel.
Sankari added: The iron shirt was removed and the tanks were measured, and it was found that there was a shortage of 24,200 thousand liters of diesel fuel and 3000 liters of gasoline, which the owner of the gas station disposed of and sold in the market to achieve material benefit.
