An indictment was filed today (Wednesday) against a 38-year-old Tel Aviv resident on suspicion of breaking into his ex-partner's apartment, violently assaulting her and causing her injuries.
The police asked to extend his detention until the end of the proceedings.
The investigation was opened by police officers of the Tel Aviv neighborhood station as a result of a complaint filed by the woman against her ex-partner. The investigation conducted by the family unit at the station revealed that the suspect broke into his ex-partner's apartment and demanded her cell phone because he suspected that she was in a personal relationship with another man.
When the victim refused, he violently attacked her with punches and kicks to her body, causing her serious injuries.
Only after the intervention of a neighbor following the screams she heard, the suspect agreed to leave the apartment while threatening to return if his demands were not met.
Immediately after the incident, the suspect was detained for questioning and his detention was extended from time to time.
