Spanish police announced that an explosion occurred today at the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid, injuring a female employee.
The news agency AFP quoted the police as saying in a statement: The female employee was slightly injured by the explosion that occurred while dealing with a letter and was taken to hospital.
The statement stated that investigators are trying to find out the circumstances of the explosion with the help of forensic experts and intelligence agents, while the police imposed a security cordon around the embassy, which is located in a residential area close to the French School in Madrid.
