A year and a half after impressing all of Europe by reaching the semi-finals of the Euros, the Danish team is already on the verge of elimination in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup with only one point in the balance, and it owes a victory over Australia in the final round of group four.
In the Euros, too, the Danes barely made it through the group stage and hope that the scenario will be similar this time, while Australia hopes to repeat the historic promotion to the round of 16 from 2006, when current coach Graham Arnold served as assistant coach.
The injured Simon Kier is still out and the Denmark coach, Kasper Jollmand, changed his formation and switched to two brakes.
In the front, Jasper Lindström, Andreas Skov Olsen and Martin Braithwaite started.
The Danes hope to get more from their star Christian Eriksen, who scored against Australia in a 1:1 draw at the 2018 World Cup. On the other hand, Arnold made one change to the lineup as Miloš Daganak started at right back instead of Fran Kračić.
