The Colombian ambassador to the US, Luis Gilberto Murillo, said that he submitted a request to the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and to the Secretary of National Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, to grant Temporary Protected Status to the Colombian community.
Murillo said that he requested this "relief" so that his citizens can be in dignified conditions to return to their country or plan their future in the United States.
