Soccer player Andrés Balanta, a Colombian national and member of Club Atlético Tucumán of Argentina, died at the age of 22, the team itself reported on its Twitter account on Tuesday.
"Atlético Tucumán regrets confirming the death of Colombian soccer player Andrés Balanta," the club wrote on the social network.
"We embrace and accompany with deep respect their family and friends at this time."

The Argentine Football Association mourned the death.
“We send our condolences to his entire family.
Rest in peace," the AFA wrote on Twitter.
For its part, the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) also referred to the fact.
"The Colombian Football Federation regrets the death of Andrés Balanta, a player for the Colombian National Team in its different categories," he wrote on Twitter.
According to Transfermarkt, Balanta played only seven games with Atlético Tucumán.
Previously, he was at Deportivo Cali in Colombia, which also reacted to the athlete's death.
