Electricity money for those who really need it urgently

A joint fundraising campaign by several actors should lead from the watering can principle to more social justice.
Fürstenfeldbruck – They are intended to alleviate the worst effects of the price explosion in the energy sector: the 300 euro energy cost subsidy that citizens have received or are still receiving from the state.
However: The money went to everyone – no matter how the respective finances are.
Some feel this watering can principle to be extremely unfair.
A fundraiser is now set to remedy the situation

Some residents of the district have turned to the community foundation for the district of Fürstenfeldbruck on their own initiative.
"They transferred the money to us with the request that we pass it on to people who urgently need it," explains Katrin Rizzi, Managing Director of the foundation.
She and her fellow campaigners were impressed by the idea and contacted the social welfare office.
Result: The fundraising campaign can now start.
How it works
And this is how it works: Anyone who would like to donate all or part of their energy cost allowance transfers the corresponding amount either to an account of the community foundation or to the Tagblatt aid campaign "Chain of Helping Hands", keyword: electricity money.
If you donate more than 200 euros, please state the address clearly for a donation receipt.
Below 200 euros, the tax office is satisfied with the deposit slip.
The donations will benefit people who receive benefits from the job center or social welfare office.
According to the authorities, around 5,600 individuals or communities of need come into question in the district.
Since those affected are reimbursed for their heating costs anyway, the donations should help them to cope with the enormously increased electricity costs.

It was agreed with the public sector that the electricity money would not be offset against other social benefits, according to the foundation's managing director, Katrin Rizzi.
The social welfare office supports the action.
Electricity costs can be deferred to those in need, or they can receive a loan.
However, in both cases the additional costs have to be paid afterwards.
The problem is not eliminated, but only postponed.

If you want to receive the electricity subsidy, you have to live in the district and fill out a questionnaire.
The latter was deliberately kept as simple as possible.
It is available on the internet on the website of the community foundation (www.buergerstiftung-lkr-ffb.de) and it is available in printed form at the information boards.
A benefit notice from the job center or social welfare office must be enclosed with the completed form.
As proof of the increased electricity costs, a copy of the adjustment to the installment payments by the supplier or a copy of the annual statement must be sent along.

Applications for an electricity subsidy are collected at the office of the community foundation, Münchner Straße 5, 82256 Fürstenfeldbruck, email: info@buergerstiftung-lkr-ffb.de.
One application is possible per community of need.
The promotion lasts until January 31st.
After that, the funds will be distributed.
The amount of the individual donations depends on the amount of donations received.
