It is a little after 10:30 p.m. this Thursday, November 24, at the National Assembly.
For the umpteenth time of the day, reserved for the examination of bills tabled by LFI, the president of the session, Naïma Moutchou, is obliged to suspend the debates.
The Hemicycle is on the verge of implosion.
The reason?
In full speech, Olivier Serva, the Liot deputy (Freedom, independents, overseas and territories) has just attacked Sylvain Maillard, interim president of the Renaissance group.
"You're going to shut up,"
he blurts out.
The session is interrupted and some parliamentarians try to calm things down.
"We all have to come down, otherwise it's going to end badly"
, drops one of them.
A few minutes later, the discussion resumes but the tension is latent.
And the friction continues.
They even go up a notch.
