Tehran-SANA
Today, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the French Ambassador to Tehran, Nicolas Rush, to protest against the background of the French authorities' false accusations against Iran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the unacceptable interventions and statements made by the French Foreign Minister in the French National Assembly, and the Assembly's endorsement of the interventionist resolution regarding developments in Iran, stressing that these interferences are unacceptable.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry deeply regretted the exploitation of human rights and the adoption of double standards regarding these rights by France and some European countries, calling for these countries to avoid wrong behavior that violates the principle of national sovereignty of independent states in international law, and to correct their approach.
The Foreign Ministry also affirmed that these countries, through resorting to unilateral and coercive methods that contradict the rights of peoples, lack any competence and qualification to raise the issue of human rights.
