The homepages of some departments of the SAR government and the Legislative Council have been turned into black and white, including photos of Chief Executive Lee Kar-chao, Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-kee and Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po. Only the national and regional emblems remain in color.

But as of 11:00 p.m., there are still some pages that have not changed their color.


Since the chief executive's webpage contained a photo of Chief Executive Lee Ka-chao and a welcome speech, the photo of Lee Ka-chao was turned black at night, and the photo of Lee Ka-chao was removed from the shelves at about 11 o'clock.

The webpages of the Chief Secretary for Administration and the Financial Secretary also put the photos and welcome speeches of the Chief Secretary Chen Guoji and Chen Maobo on the homepage respectively, and the photos were black and white until 11:00 pm.

The Department of Justice also changed the front page to black and white, but since the welcome speech by Secretary for Justice Lam Ting-kwok was not placed on the front page, there was no photo conversion to black and white.

The Hong Kong government's portal website "GovHK" has changed its homepage to black and white, while the national and district emblems remain normal.

However, as of 11:00 p.m., the page introducing government websites and personnel, as well as the government structure, turned the national and regional emblems into black and white.

The Protocol Office of the Central Government Secretariat has converted all pages of the website to black and white, including the page introducing the regional flag, but the regional flag has also been converted to black and white.
