Since Wednesday morning, around thirty firefighters have been working on the site of the Candia dairy in Campbon, a town located about forty kilometers west of Nantes.
An ammonia leak was detected in a plant room.
To deal with this incident, the emergency services set up a security perimeter.
Despite this problem, the plant's activity is maintained.
About twenty employees are also present on the site.

A factory that will close
As a reminder, the Candia dairy will soon close its doors.
As relayed Le Figaro Tuesday, November 29, the site which employs 160 employees, will be the subject of a conversion project.
It will be taken over by the FM LOGISTIC Group, a French company that delivers to national and international companies in various sectors.
The buyer foresees the creation of 150 jobs over 3 years

that is almost the equivalent of the jobs eliminated by Candia”,
specified the prefecture of Loire-Atlantique which had committed itself to the file of conversion of the site.
