Maite Kelly as a guest on "Riverboat": After a live performance, a mishap by the pop singer briefly stopped the show.

Berlin – In the “Riverboat” all the big hit stars are allowed to run regularly: On Friday (October 21) Maite Kelly (42) was a guest there, who answered the questions from Kim Fisher (53) and her co-moderator Ilka Bessin (50 ) asked.

But before you sat properly in your seats and the conversation could really start, the singer made an embarrassing dropout.

Bessin, who co-moderated the show for the first time that evening, covered the situation as best she could.

With Kim Fisher, the biggest German pop stars of all time were in the "Riverboat" group and Maite Kelly also convinced as an artist at a high level when she performed a soulful version of her hit "Du Schuft!" live.

However, this was followed by pure chaos: When the 42-year-old sat down again, she noticed that her microphone was missing.

Embarrassed, she jumped up, gesticulated wildly and shouted, "I have to go back and that thing... I'll come to you Soundman, this is the Soundman."

Because Maite Kelly had a mishap with her microphone, the "Riverboat" talk did not go on for a short time.

But before she could rush to the responsible sound engineer, Kim Fisher clarified the Kelly family member's faux pas: "I think your microphone is on the back …" admitted the "Riverboat" presenter to the stressed Maite Kelly understand and then offered to help.

In the middle of the discussion, the 53-year-old fiddled with the singer's microphone, first alone and later with the help of a crew member - and thus attracted everyone's attention.

In the rbb edition of "Riverboat", Ilka Bessin (aka Cindy from Marzahn) was allowed to act as a moderator for the first time, after the 50-year-old herself had often been a guest on the talk show.

The comedian, who was born in Brandenburg, didn't have to think long about the offer itself: "When I was asked whether I would like to moderate Riverboat Berlin together with Kim Fisher, I said: What kind of question is that, please?" says Bessin in the rbb.

She celebrated her debut with guests such as pop star Maite Kelly, journalist Anja Kohl (52), model Franziska Knuppe (47) and actress Gerit Kling (57).

Moderating "Riverboat" like this was out of the question for Ilka Bessin: the comedian known as Cindy from Marzahn paused briefly and used the forced break caused by Maite Kelly's micro mishap to thank those who made the MDR talk possible behind the scenes do: "Just clap for the team, just for everyone

Maite Kelly also took the opportunity and addressed warm words to the MDR crew while she was still busy with her microphone: "Behind the stage are the most important people, namely the hearts that make it possible," the pop singer praised the work of the teams.

She then apologized very nicely to everyone present for her mistake: "Sorry, I'm only good on stage, I'm chaotic with everything else."
