On the street, a man attacked several passers-by with a knife.
A young man (19) suffered life-threatening injuries.
Neufahrn – An obviously confused and heavily intoxicated man attacked several passers-by on Tuesday evening and seriously injured one of them.
He fights for his life.
The Erding criminal police are investigating an attempted homicide.
Man attacks passers-by with a knife: student critically injured
As reported by the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North, the 51-year-old was noticed on Fritz-Walter-Straße around 7.45 p.m.
Eyewitnesses reported that the man initially hid himself conspicuously between parked vehicles and prevented a driver from parking.
When three passers-by wanted to ask him about his behavior, the 51-year-old suddenly pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed the people.
A 19-year-old student suffered life-threatening injuries from a puncture in his chest.
He also suffered a serious laceration on his arm.
He is being treated in intensive care in a hospital.
A 29-year-old man suffered superficial cuts on his hand and face.
He was also taken to a clinic, but according to the police he was able to leave it again in the meantime.
The third passer-by, a 23-year-old, escaped unharmed in the knife attack.

After a knife attack: the passers-by were able to overpower the perpetrator
The perpetrator was overpowered by passers-by and held until police arrived.
"He lost consciousness in the meantime and was also taken to a hospital for examination," says the police report.
The criminal police in Erding took over the investigation that evening and carried out extensive evidence-securing measures.
The responsible public prosecutor's office in Landshut assumes an attempted homicide and issued an arrest warrant against the 51-year-old.
