In honor of the holiday season in the United States, the McDonald's chain has brought back to life a special promotion that will award three lucky winners with a gold card that grants free meals at all chain branches for life.
And if that's not cool enough, the winner will receive three matching gold tickets to hand out to anyone they choose.
In order to enter the raffle, customers will be able to add a single dollar to their order, and each order will earn the customer an additional chance to enter the raffle.
The card was first introduced in the 90s, and among its holders are famous tycoons such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, who bought the card with their own money.
However, despite the coveted aura surrounding the mystery cards, in 2018 the chain limited their use to two meals a week for 50 years.
"Our fans have always been captivated by the aura of the Golden Ticket and wondered if the product actually existed. Now, we're making this McDonald's legend a reality and giving fans the ultimate holiday gift, a chance to win one, and share additional tickets with friends and family," Trick announced. The chain is not satisfied with just the gold card as a promotion for the holidays, and also offers more affordable gifts for the entire population such as McKinettes socks and tops with prints of the company's products, which come with particularly profitable promotions on all of the chain's products.
The promotions, which are available to all customers in the chain's application, include one plus one on all the chain's meals and change a little every day for a period of less than a month.
Customers need to add a single dollar to gain access to the promotions and a chance to win the golden ticket.
It is to be hoped that the chain will present a similar promotion for Hanukkah in Israel, and until that happens, McDonald's lovers in Israel will have to look enviously at their friends in the USA.
