The branch of the Cooperative Agricultural Bank in al-Sanamayn in the countryside of Daraa continues to grant loans of all kinds according to the schedule of need and the operating system in force in the Agricultural Bank, in order to finance the agricultural process, in both its plant and animal parts.
And the director of the Agricultural Bank branch in Al-Sanamayn, Majed Al-Hariri, stated in a statement to SANA that the total loans granted during the current year exceeded one billion and 143 million pounds, of which about 337 million pounds are short-term loans to finance agricultural production requirements for the agricultural season 2022-2023, pointing out that there is an increase of 204 million pounds. In the lending process, compared to the previous year, in which the value of the loans granted amounted to about 939 million pounds.
He added, “We expect an increase in the value of loans, with lending transactions underway to grant short-term loans to cover farmers’ needs for seeds and fertilizers, while the collections to date amounted to about 500 million pounds.”
Al-Hariri said: The Agricultural Bank branch in Al-Sanamayn started the process of selling fertilizers to farmers in accordance with the regulation issued by the agricultural departments and extension units, indicating that the prices of fertilizers were set according to the circular of the general administration of the bank issued yesterday, provided that the farmers’ entire needs of superphosphate fertilizer and 50 percent of the first batch are disbursed. of urea according to the schedule of need applied in the Agricultural Bank and according to the available stock.
