Young and old will be able to gain height in Nantes soon.
A project to create a tree climbing is the subject of a call for tenders, launched on November 25, by the municipality.
It should see the light of day in
"mid-2023"
in the Crapa park, located on the island of Nantes, confirms to

“Two years ago, we were contacted by a company specializing in the installation of courses in the trees. We decided to visit that of Chartres and we were convinced ”

The Crapa Park, located at the eastern end of the island of Nantes (in the extension of the Hôtel de Région) quickly became detached.

"squatted by the same people"
, which sometimes leads to problems of public tranquility.
Moreover, beyond the installation of a tree climbing, the Crapa park will be the subject of an
“overall rehabilitation”
in 2024, announces the elected official.
A budget of €200,000, in particular for the installation of new games, is planned.
The development of the surroundings of the park,
"which sometimes resembles large mud pools",
will also be reviewed in order to facilitate access.
Limited footprint
As for the tree climbing, the number of courses of which has not yet been defined, it is aimed
at "all ages, girls and boys"

Its footprint should be limited.
Land that will be made available, initially free of charge, to the future manager under a renewable lease of up to 10 years.
In exchange, the construction work and operation of the site will be at his expense.
“It's a project that costs the community €0.
As with the Bateau-Lavoir, the operator will have to pay us a percentage of the profits or a fixed sum,”
explains Cécile Bir.
The final solution is still being considered.
Even if the adventure park will be private, the city of Nantes has set up tight specifications to avoid any financial or environmental drift.

For prices, we will also ensure that it remains accessible.
The idea is also to dedicate specific slots for school groups
