Anyone who is not there when the package is delivered will receive a notification from the courier.

A DHL card did not help a recipient at all.

Munich/Vienna – Shortly before the end of the year, parcel delivery services are traditionally very busy.

The number of shipments that DHL, Hermes, DPD and others are supposed to bring to the recipients is increasing sharply.

Business around Christmas is booming every year.

The delivery of the often eagerly awaited freight does not always go according to plan.

A customer recently accused DHL of causing a "massacre" on her destroyed package.

And the questionable choice of storage location recently caused a Hermes customer to frown.

DHL note completely illegible: recipient calls out a competition to find out where the package is

At least in this case the customers were able to hold their package in their hands – even if it was badly battered in one case.

In contrast, this goal turned out to be much more difficult for a DHL customer from Vienna.

He posted a shipment notification card on Twitter that was just puzzling.

He captioned his tweet: "Competition.

Anyone who can decipher where my DHL parcel courier delivered the parcel wins a coffee.” The user added a close-up of the DHL note that he apparently found in his mailbox.

The field in which the courier enters who the package was left with in the absence of the recipient was filled out.

But the whole thing wasn't really legible.

One or two letters could be deciphered with difficulty.

When it came to "Door/House", however, it was difficult to find out what the DHL messenger had written there, even with a lot of imagination.

A package recipient actually expects a combination of numbers there, which indicates the house number of the alternative recipient.

But in this case good advice was expensive.

More than a few illegible lines could not be seen.

Another Twitter user followed the DHL puzzle of the actual parcel recipient.

"I'm looking forward to the resolution," he wrote under the tweet.

And the author of the tweet was able to deliver it himself.

"I've got it," he announced and revealed: The number is supposed to represent the number 14.

He added that he would now buy the promised coffee himself.

This DHL note puzzled the recipient.

How exactly he came up with the solution to the DHL riddle and how he was able to deduce the correct address from the completely illegible piece of paper remained unclear.

However, he may have also been looking for his package using online shipment tracking on the DHL website or in the DHL app.

And since digital writing is known to always be legible, the exact whereabouts of the parcel could have been stored there without a doubt.

A German customer also recently published his broadcast notification.

There, a DHL courier stated that the package was "near Chemnitz" - but that only seemed to be a very extensive statement of the storage location.
