Damascus-SANA

The Committee of Arab, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the People’s Assembly condemned the actions of the separatist “Qasd” militia, supported by the American occupation, to stop and prevent the education of students in northern Syria according to the curriculum approved by the Syrian state, stressing that this is contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Charter and international law.

In a statement, a copy of which SANA received today, the committee called for taking all necessary measures from international parliamentary organizations and the international community for the continuity of education, stressing that what the separatist “Qasd” militia is doing is cutting water and electricity to the people of the Syrian Jazira region and stopping education in schools in those areas according to the Syrian curriculum. Approved by the Ministry of Education under penalty of closing the schools that teach according to it is an explicit violation and clear violation of Article (26) of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and depriving students of compulsory education approved by the Ministry of Education, pointing out that these actions are carried out under the cover and support of the American occupation.

The committee considered that these actions push in the direction of a new process of displacement and an attempt to bring about demographic change, and create a new reality that threatens international peace and security. .
