State election 2023: These are the ÖDP candidates in the Munich district

The direct candidates for the constituency Munich-Land Süd: district councilor Karin Schuster from Oberschleißheim is running for the state parliament and local chairman Werner Wolf from Ottobrunn for the district council.

The ÖDP has put forward its direct candidates for both constituencies in the district of Munich for the 2023 state election.

It is also clear who will stand as a candidate for the district assembly.

District – The members of the district ÖDP recently met in Ottobrunn to elect their candidates for the state and district elections next year.

For the southern district, district councilor Karin Schuster is running as a state parliament candidate and Werner Wolf, ÖDP local chairman in Ottobrunn and Neubiberg, as a district parliamentary candidate.

For Karin Schuster, mother of two children and active in the district council for almost three years, education policy is a special concern, as she made clear in her introductory speech according to the press release: “Our future lies in our children.

The child-friendly care of the little ones and an educational reform of our school system are essential for the socially just future of our district and the Free State of Bavaria," she emphasizes.

Get rid of official cars for politicians

As a university teacher, Werner Wolf can only support this demand for more support for future generations;

he also sees the integration of ecology, economy and social balance as a focus of current politics.

In the northern district, Sebastian Riedelbauch was elected as a state parliament candidate and Jolanta Wrobel as a district parliament candidate.

Sebastian Riedelbauch, who has been a municipal councilor in Oberschleißheim for many years and has been a member of the ÖDP since November 2021, already has an idea for his first application in the state parliament: “All official cars of the state government and ministries will be abolished.

It has to be driven in public, that's the only way you'll get a change."

focus on culture

For Jolanta Wrobel, who has been a member of the district council for the ÖDP since 2020, the experiences from her previous local political work are very valuable for the upcoming district council candidacy: “The main tasks of the districts are special clinics, social affairs and culture.

Nevertheless, culture is only accounted for with a fraction of the funds in the district budget.

I want to change that.

I find culture and the preservation of tradition in Upper Bavaria too important to deal with the topic only marginally and with little financial means."

Art and culture would determine our identity and should be given a corresponding position.

Wrobel is convinced that her experience as a cultural advisor on the Unterschleißheim city council in the last election period could be helpful.

District chairman Yannick Rouault was satisfied with the choice of candidates: "For the 2023 election year, we have set up a strong team that already has a lot of experience in political work." He is confident that the ÖDP will use the results of the last state parliament and District election could increase significantly.
