On video: Arrest of the suspect in the murder of Yuri Volkov at the crossing in Holon (use according to Section 27 A of the Copyright Law)
A dog belonging to Adi Mizrahi, the suspect in the murder of Yuri Volkov in Holon, survived the injuries from the arrest and is in quarantine.
During the arrest, the ten-year-old dog Scar attacked the policemen who broke into the house, and in response they shot at him - but he was only hit by shrapnel.
At the end of the quarantine period he will be returned to his owner, Mizrahi's father, or another home will be found for him.
Dr. Victor Haddad, the director of the veterinary service in the municipality of Holon, was the one who arrived at the scene together with Inspector Eli Matthiyahu who works with him. Afraid to go in and do a search.
We arrived and took control of the dog.
There was a lot of blood in the house from all the commotion that happened before that."
Hadad and the inspector took the dog to the clinic when it was injured in several places on its body.
"My situation was not the best," he said.
"We contacted the owner, the father, and offered him to take him to a veterinary hospital, but he refused to take responsibility for him. We gave him an infusion, painkiller injections, etc. The next morning we came and saw that his condition had greatly improved and that he was already on his feet. We took him to treat our daughter To live to live in Ramat Gan so they can take pictures and rule out that he has bullets or bleeding in his stomach."
After a few days, the dog was quarantined, since it bit the policemen and was not vaccinated against rabies.
"He will stay there for a total of ten days. We will have to consider what to do with him. The dog is not an aggressive or crazy dog. He was probably frightened by the people who broke into his house."
Survived the shooting.

The vet who received him at the Let Live Live clinic, a fan of Witzer, also said that the dog was not aggressive when he saw it.
"It's a cute dog for God's sake, walks on all fours, wags its tail and licks," he described.
"We see a lot of pit bulls like him with cropped ears, but it doesn't seem like he was abused or anything like that. The dissonance between the dog that attacked two policemen and the dog we saw is great. In a situation of noise and chaos, even my pinscher can do it. Some dogs come here and need barriers, he Not one of them."
"He had penetrating wounds from shrapnel - many in the front leg, one in the chest area and one in the lower leg," he said.
"Apparently they hit him with the bullets near him. We shaved and sewed up all the wounds, we returned him to the veterinary service and it seems that he will recover successfully."
On Thursday, the police arrested two suspects related to the murder on Yotbata Street in Holon, and at the same time entered the house to arrest others involved.
When they opened the door, the dog jumped at them, biting two policemen and injuring them slightly and moderately.
Mizrahi's partner was also injured by the bullets fired in response.
The arrest of the murder suspect was extended today by six more days.
