A real Advent window opens every day in December.
With this campaign, the family service team wants to strengthen togetherness.
In the Advent calendar, a door is opened every day from December 1st - and in Waakirchen this year, for the first time in Advent, a Christmassy decorated Advent window will light up every day.
The idea for this campaign came from the family service team of the Catholic Parish Association of Waakirchen-Schaftlach.
Michaela Leserer made the suggestion, which the team immediately liked.
An appeal in the church newspaper met with the best response, so that now every 24 days - from December 1st to Christmas Eve - a new Advent window will shine.
And this is distributed throughout the municipality: in Schaftlach and Riedern, in Waakirchen, Point and Hauserdörfl.
Lovingly decorated Advent windows will light up in some private homes of families, but also in the traditional costumes hostel, in the kindergarten, in the town hall and even at the Waakirchen fire brigade.
"A nice idea," says community assistant Petra Klein Schwärzer, who accompanies the campaign.
Pastor Stephan Fischbacher is also enthusiastic.
"It's a real joy." An Advent window will also shine in his house.
The parish association announces the schedule with the exact addresses on its website and flyers.
The first advent window will light up on December 1st at Brunnenweg 37.
This is linked to a ritual.
Always at 6 p.m., a new window opens with a special moment designed by the family or group in question.
It can be a poem, a song, a devotion or eating cookies: It's about togetherness.
The 24th window are the two children's masses in Waakirchen and Schaftlach, which are celebrated at 4 p.m. in the Church of St. Martin and in the Church of the Holy Cross.
Throughout the village, the Advent windows remain lit up daily from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until December 26th.
