With the support and coordination of the National Union of Syrian Students, the Smart Future Company signed today a partnership agreement with the “Zajel” project, one of the pioneering youth projects that won the Digital Transformation Pioneers Competition organized by the Union in cooperation with the Young Entrepreneurs Association “SIA” last June.
According to the agreement signed in the Union Building, the company will adopt and finance the project and integrate it into one of its strategic projects, in addition to providing full training to the “Zajel” team, and transferring the necessary expertise to them to advance the project and transform it from theoretical ideas into reality.
In a press statement, the president of the federation, Darine Suleiman, explained that the agreement was preceded by preparations related to the legal issue and the economic feasibility of the project, noting that the project contributes to creating more than 100 job opportunities in the short term, and it could reach a thousand opportunities in the medium term, which is an important step in terms of receiving a project. Fully funded and supported by a private company.
Muhannad Al-Lahham, General Manager of the Smart Future Company, stated that through the agreement, the company will move the project to the implementation stage, translating its social responsibility towards youth and motivating them for more creativity, entrepreneurship and investment in emerging projects related to digital technology and digital transformation solutions.
The software engineer, Mustafa Yassin, from the project team, pointed out the importance of technical, administrative and marketing support for the implementation of the project, explaining that it is an electronic application for shipping goods between governorates faster, saving time and cost, as well as promoting online shopping.
Louay Munjid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sia Association, said that the agreement is the culmination of work efforts and a fruitful partnership with the Federation to support youth as part of a strategy that began with a number of entrepreneurial competitions that were linked to the “Forsa” platform on which entrepreneurs register their projects, pointing out that private sector funding for entrepreneurial youth projects It is called “venture capital” and it is applied for the first time locally.
It is noteworthy that the “Zajel” project participated in the first entrepreneurial investment forum, “Opportunity 2022”, which was held by the National Union of Syrian Students and the “SIA” Association last May, and presented 21 projects for 33 entrepreneurs from the youth segment, and aims to open the horizons of entry for university students. graduates and youth to the labor market.
