The second Zornedinger Krippenweg starts on December 4th.

New this year is a competition about sheep.

Zorneding

- It's about some light in the "dark season" and the anticipation of the coming Christmas.

The “Zornedinger Krippenweg” is being offered for the second time this year.

There are a total of 28 stations with small, imaginative works of art in the municipal area, mostly behind glass.

It starts on December 4th.

An invitation to a longer walk, perhaps in several stages.

The cribs should be illuminated from nightfall until 10 p.m. until January 6th.

There is also a raffle.

It is about sheep, namely the total number of animals in the different mangers.

Anticipation for Christmas

The Krippenweg was there for the first time last year, back when Corona was still determining life very intensively.

Organizer Thomas Pittroff launched a call in November 2021.

After a publication in the EZ, the interest of private exhibitors was great.

Support came from the community and from the local trade forum.

Shops made their shop windows available.

"Everything worked perfectly," says Pittroff happily a year later.

The response from visitors was also very good.

"In Zorneding and beyond."

Second edition after last year's success

So now the second edition, which this time lasts longer than last year with a very short preparation time at the time.

In addition to Zorneding and Pöring, cribs can also be seen in Wolfesing.

Venues: private properties, shop windows, the town hall, the fire brigade in Pöring or the St. Georg kindergarten in Pöring.

There are also changing pictures on ecumenical advent calendars at the Protestant Christophoruskirche (Lindenstrasse 11) and at the Catholic Martinstadl (Ingelsberger Weg 2).

The campaign is supported, among others, by Mayor Piet Mayr, Zornedinger Gewerbeforum, Zorneding TV, Pfarrjugend St. Martin and local residents and companies.

The town hall paid the printing costs for flyers with the list and the locations of the crèches as well as posters.

Sweepstakes Rules

In order to be able to take part in the competition, the sheep in all 26 cribs on display must be counted, excluding the two advent calendars at the Christophoruskirche and at the Martinstadl.

Participation cards for entering the total number are available on the flyer in the town hall and the participating shops.

Completed cards can be handed in to the post box of the Pittroff family crèche in the garden house opposite Herzog-Stephan-Weg 15 in Zorneding by January 6th at the latest.

Three winners will be drawn from all entries.

You can win shopping vouchers, financed by the organizers.
