At least 19 people were killed and 24 injured as a result of an explosion that targeted a school yesterday in the city of Aibek, in the north of the country.
AP quoted a doctor at a local hospital north of the capital, Kabul, as saying: Most of the victims are young, pointing out that some of the wounded are in critical condition. For his part, a local official confirmed that the explosion occurred in a school, but he did not mention the number of victims.
In turn, the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Abdul Nafeh Takur, said: The police forces are working to identify the perpetrators of this crime.
