A 17-year-old young man was attacked with an ax this Thursday afternoon, in front of the Louis-Lumière high school in Chelles (Seine-et-Marne), reports France 3 Paris - Île-de-France.

He was transferred to a local hospital.

His days are not in danger.

The attack took place about ten meters from the vocational school, specifies BFMTV.

As the victim was heading towards the establishment, a car stopped at his level and three hooded individuals got out of the vehicle.

One of them hit the 17-year-old high school student in the back of the head with a baseball bat, while one of the passengers in the car tried to gas the victim, the channel said.

A third individual, armed with a hatchet, struck him on the left shoulder blade and on the left forearm.

The young man was taken care of by emergency services.

A security brigade in front of the high school on Friday

A person – the driver of the vehicle, details BFMTV – was arrested.

The president of the Île-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse, announced the deployment on Friday of a regional security brigade in front of the high school.

According to the mayor of Chelles, Brice Rabaste, it would not be a settling of accounts between bands, adds BFMTV who was able to join the elected official.

A regional security brigade will be deployed tomorrow in front of the Lycée de Chelles (77) following the attack on a young person with an ax today.

Faced with the rise of band fights, the region is working to bring security to the surroundings of high schools!
