Even in the third round of budget deliberations, the district councils have not saved a single euro despite the difficult financial situation.

Erding - The partial budget for building construction and building maintenance was passed by the Committee on Building and Energy without any major debate.

According to calculations by treasurer Markus Sicheneder, almost 18 million euros will be available for new construction and conversion measures in the coming year.

One of the largest items is the expansion of the Anne Frank High School in Erding, for which around 4.4 million euros will be incurred in 2023.

1.2 million will be made available for the expansion of the rescue control center in Erding.

2.3 million euros are to go into building maintenance, including for renovations at the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule and the Taufkirchen Realschule.

Stephan Treffler (ÖDP) wondered why one should spend 50,000 euros on the renovation of the Sparkasse building when the district is only tenants.

Matthias Huber from the property management explained that it was about new floors and whitening of the walls - "we are obliged to do this as tenants".

Maria Feckl (Greens) asked whether the new solar systems on the clinic and the support center could not also be implemented through cooperatives.

Basically, the district administrator Martin Bayerstorfer (CSU) did not want to rule out, "but at the clinic and at the landfill in Isen that is out of the question for me".

At the clinic, there could be trouble with the operators if the house is remodeled or expanded.

And in Isen you have to play it safe "that the seepage film of the landfill is not damaged and we then have to prove that the damage was caused by the construction or operation of the PV system".

Huber added: "We are assuming that it will pay for itself within a few years anyway, and then we want to make money and save costs."

Bayerstorfer had previously emphasized again that the budget only contained the bare essentials.

Seven million euros were saved by eliminating all projects that had not yet started from the budget for the time being.

"Nevertheless, I'm grateful for every savings suggestion." The district levy will increase in any case.

He did not name a value this time either.

Due to growing tasks, however, new positions are inevitable.

In the district office and in the clinic, however, material costs are reduced by ten percent.

This is not undisputed.
