Work, make an effort, then it will work out with a career and your own home. What happens when fewer and fewer young people believe in it during the crisis? You hear that in the catch of voices.


The job should be fun and meaningful, only then does it start earning money: Just a few years ago, the majority of young professionals thought so.

But now there is a crisis, war, climate catastrophe, and many young people are rethinking.

They also ask whether they can reach their parents' standard of living through work alone.

Is it still worth sacrificing for the job, in the permanent crisis and with uncertain prospects?

The answer to this question changes the view of work.

Safety comes first again - only then does self-realization come, observes youth researcher Simon Schnetzer.
