The Scandinavian country has supplanted Russia as Europe's top gas supplier since the invasion of Ukraine in February.

According to the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Store, last month Norway had increased its exports to the European continent by 8% to 10% compared to the beginning of the year.

It is Berlin's leading supplier to which it now provides half of the country's needs, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

And the country is also the leading oil producer in Western Europe.

However, while showing its readiness to help the EU overcome the energy crisis, Oslo is also taking negative short-term measures.

Without, however, making a firm long-term commitment to the fight against change...
