Numerous associations take part in the anniversary Christmas market in Pliening

In Pliening, on the 2nd Sunday in Advent, a milestone birthday is made up for: the Christmas market is taking place for the 20th time.
Actually two years ago, but because of Corona this was not possible.
Pliening - In 2020, Pliening would have had an anniversary Christmas market, the 20th.
Because of the corona pandemic, however, this could not be held, just like the one in 2021. But now the (rescheduled) 20th Christmas market is taking place: on the 2nd Sunday in Advent, December 4th, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the community center.
Parking spaces are available at the opposite Edeka market and in front of the sports field.
Pliening: opening with youth band
Mayor Roland Frick will greet the visitors at 3 p.m. together with the Gelting-Poing youth band with words and music.
The youth band will play from 2:45 p.m.
As before the Corona period, this year some clubs and citizens from the municipality of Pliening are participating with various stands and offers at the Christmas market.

Numerous clubs offer culinary delights and more
The home club Pliening sells its traditional annual calendar.
In 2023, photos of an old craft will be shown every month.
The CSU local association offers mulled wine and, together with the "Landshamer Kräuterhex", a wide variety of products and compositions of spices and salts.
The VdK local association Pliening is also present at the Christmas market with a white mulled wine and an advisory service.
The local branch of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen serves chili sin carne, hot chocolate and other delicacies and gift ideas.

The village community and the Ottersberg rifle club will bring up hearty dishes from the grill, such as cheese grills, beef sausages and steaks, according to the announcement.
The other clubs and people who participate with all kinds of culinary delights and more: TSV Pliening-Landsham, Lions for Kid, Dirndl Club D'wuid'n Bix'n, Pliening Boys' Club, Pliening Volunteer Fire Brigade Association, Pliening Tennis Club, Gelting Volunteer Fire Brigade , Ela Stoffmanufaktur Pliening and Edith Lohner.
The people in charge of the Plienings youth room are also there and offer candy floss, slush ice cream and Spezi in their hut, Rittler completes the list.
The also lists the parents' initiative Pliening (EIP), which offers home-made Christmas creations as well as waffles, mulled wine and children's punch.
Supporting program in the Pliening community center
You can sit together and warm up with coffee and cake next door in the community center, in the parlor of the traditional costume association Stoabergler Gelting.
It is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the club’s own Stubnmusi also plays during this time.
And the EIP offers Advent handicrafts for children from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Bürgerstüberl (for a small fee).

A guest of honor will visit the Christmas market in Pliening twice on Sunday: St. Nicholas will give out small gifts to the children at 3.30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Georg Rittler announces that the last two hours of the market, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be played by the Gelting brass band.
