Within a year, Lapid appointed 76 senior officials in the Foreign Service of the State of Israel - ambassadors, heads of missions, consuls and employees in the service. Come on, charge

Over the years, he has established a practice: the right wins the elections, and the left leads the agenda.

Promises are shattered, expectations are disappointed, and frustration among the government's voters is rising.

The emerging right-wing government learned from the previous government how to be big and inflated, while its task now is to learn how to also be effective and govern.

To understand how to be effective, it is worth taking a look at the supply of appointments of the outgoing government:

Within a year, Lapid appointed 76 senior officials in the Foreign Service of the State of Israel - ambassadors, heads of missions, consuls and employees in the service.

Some of the appointments were distinctly political, such as his former party member Yael German who was sent to be ambassador in Paris, or Assaf Zamir who was sent to be consul general in New York.

Furthermore, when Lapid entered the Prime Minister's office after Naftali Bennett - he immediately fired the head of the national information system Elad Tana, who was a worthy appointment of Bennett, and appointed his peace man, Lior Hait.

Even the guys in the New Hope Party, Alia HaShalom, who had already become flakes within the state camp, knew how to fill positions well.

The same with the appointment of the members of the Council of the Second Authority, and the same with the Chairman of Yad Vashem Danny Dayan.

On the other hand, outgoing Minister of Transportation Merav Michaeli decided to fire two officials whom she saw as being identified with Miri Regev.

She mobilized the top of the office and parts of the media to carry out targeted professional countermeasures in two - and won.

It is important to note: for the most part, as long as it is legal, there is nothing wrong with this method.

Danny Dayan, for example, is an excellent appointment as chairman of Yad Vashem, as is some of the above list.

Politicians appoint those they know and cherish under the assumption that they deserve the position, and as long as the appointment is not a distinctly political gift - there is no problem with that.

vice versa.

But under the heading "appointments", it is important to maintain two guidelines: knowledge and experience, and worldview.

The new ministers will have to know how to appoint people with knowledge and experience, but just as importantly - those who hold a worldview that is in line with that of the minister.

People with knowledge and experience but without a worldview will drag the minister after them;

People with a world view but without knowledge and experience will not succeed in being effective.

In both cases the result will be that the ministers will not be able to lead to the change of the policy on behalf of which they were elected.

Unfortunately, right-wing governments have fallen for this in the past.

The fear of criticism, the low self-confidence, the built-in negation in front of the other party and other considerations were very big.

In order not to attract fire, many ministers decided to avoid promoting people who share their worldview.

When Sher does not bother to gather around him professionals who share the same worldview, he is forced at the moment of truth to rely on associates who are not professional enough, or to be dragged after people who are more experienced than him because they share the same worldview.

The people around him are unable or unwilling to promote what he promised and promises.

Thus - we, the electorate, are left with a lot of hot air and few results.

The freedom of movement of ministers is very limited.

The bureaucracy and bureaucracy may explain to the new ministers how difficult it is to lead policy change.

However, a correct mapping of the office, of the office bearers in it and of the soon-to-be vacant positions, and early knowledge of the appointment process, can finally turn this term into a dream.

Therefore, my fellow ministers and ministers - appointments.

You will receive mountains of criticism about it, the opposition will shout, the media will paint headlines bright red, and the movement for the quality of government will wake up from its pleasant winter sleep.
