Inoperative traffic lights, trains at the platform, unusable computers and telephones… Such could be the consequences of these two-hour load shedding, programmed and localized in the country.
To limit the damage caused by these power cuts, the prefects will be on the front line.
A circular was sent to them on Wednesday to prepare them for the day when a “mini-blackout” will be triggered on part of their department.
A single objective is targeted: to do everything so that these cuts take place without drama.
But the device already raises questions and concerns.
Unreachable emergency services
Fixed and mobile telephones will notably be inoperative during load shedding, all relay antennas operating with electricity.
It will therefore be impossible to contact the emergency services.
Neither 17, nor 18, nor 15 will work.
