The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in Tartous governorate continues to extract citrus crops from farmers directly from their places of cultivation in various regions of the governorate.

The director of the Syrian Trade Branch in the governorate, Mahmoud Saqr, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the quantities received since the beginning of the mining operations on the 20th of last November amounted to about 20 tons of various items, indicating that the receiving operations continue until the end of the season at the end of the fifth month of next year.

Saqr pointed out that the Foundation provides an additional advantage to farmers in support of them by providing sorting and packing fees that take place in the center, which was opened recently after its rehabilitation in the Abu Afsa area, pointing out that the Foundation bears for the first time, starting from the current season, the costs of sorting and packing, in addition to Providing field funds and providing transportation fees and the commission of Al-Hal Markets.

Saqr confirmed that the prices are suitable for both the farmer and the citizen and provide about 450 Syrian pounds per kilogram for the farmers, pointing out that contact has been made with various agricultural associations and the Peasants Union to receive the largest possible amount of the crop.
